T-Shirt Timeline

So that we can get shirts printed and delivered to us in time for the big day (September 10th) we need to place the order soon. Very soon. Like on August 31st soon. You must register for WordCamp SLC 2011 by tomorrow, August 30th, in order to be sure you get the right size shirt. Come the morning of August 31st we will have run all the numbers and sent in the order.

I will be ordering extra shirts because I have no doubt that we’ll have people still register after the 30th. But I can’t guarantee that we’ll have one in the right size for you. And if we get a large number of people signing up at the last minute I can’t be sure we’ll have one at all.

Go register today and you won’t have to worry about any of that 🙂

Quick reminder that there are only two more days left for the early bird tickets. After Saturday (August 27th) the ticket price goes up from $15 to $20. The time to register for WordCamp SLC 2011 is now.

Aside from saving you $5, registering early helps us get an accurate count for the lunch and t-shirt orders. The lunch order has a bit of flexibility in it, but the final t-shirt order has to be done well in advance. By registering now we can make sure we order the right size shirt for you 🙂

Sessions and Speakers

We’ve begun confirming speakers and sessions for WordCamp SLC 2011.

Our first batch of speakers we’ve confirmed are :

  • Garth Koyle ( Can you go commercial? )
  • Chris Reynolds ( WordPress Theme Development 101: Theme-ing for Everyone )
  • Joseph Scott ( Site Performance, From Pinto to Ferrari )

As more of our speakers are confirmed we’ll be adding them to the speakers page along with details on the sessions page.

If you’ve got something you are passionate about that involves WordPress, put together a presentation proposal, if we get some really great ones we still have time to tweak the schedule and make room. I haven’t seen many proposals about plugin development, would be great to see more in that area.

Sponsorship Opportunities

One of the great things about WordCamp events is the generally low cost of admission, making it possible for just about anyone who wants to, to come out and participate. WordCamp SLC is no different in this regard.

We’ve been very fortunate to have The University of Utah provide a location and for Bluehost to cover lunch. Others have asked about sponsorship opportunities as well, if that is something you’d like to do check out our Sponsor WCSLC page.

For questions about sponsoring please use our contact page.

A big thank you to past and present sponsors who have made WordCamp SLC possible!
